Gee, it’s a good thing Colin Powell cited a source for his Bill Clinton slam or it might not have been believable (*eyeroll*)

Colin Powell’s office confirmed hacked emails released Tuesday night were indeed sent by the former chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, and his opinion of how the husband of the Democrat nominee still spends his free time at home while his wife’s at yoga class has swept the country:

I thought it was funny that Powell cited a source in his email — as if it might not have been believable otherwise.

Or maybe the citation was necessary: This intro paragraph from The Hill is understatement of the millennium:

A website claiming to have hacked former Secretary of State Colin Powell’s private emails has published correspondence that appears to show Powell accusing President Bill Clinton of adultery.

“Appears to show…”? That’s like writing, “James Cameron’s 1997 Oscar-winning movie appears to insinuate that the Titanic sank.”
