Maybe the most surprising thing about leaked excerpts from Hillary’s Wall Street speeches was…

…Finding out that she actually delivered some speeches in return for those checks:

In lucrative paid speeches that Hillary Clinton delivered to elite financial firms but refused to disclose to the public, she displayed an easy comfort with titans of business, embraced unfettered international trade and praised a budget-balancing plan that would have required cuts to Social Security, according to documents posted online Friday by WikiLeaks.

Remember at Dem debates when Clinton said Wall Street can’t be allowed to police itself? Good times:

The excerpts include comments made at an event sponsored by Goldman Sachs in October 2013 in which Mrs Clinton spoke of the need to consult Wall Street over financial reform.

“The people that know the industry better than anybody are the people who work in the industry,” Mrs Clinton said.

And hey, who’s up for President Hillary’s open borders?

At another speech presented to a Brazilian bank in 2013, she spoke of her “dream” for a common trade market.

“My dream is a hemispheric common market, with open trade and open borders, some time in the future with energy that is as green and sustainable as we can get it, powering growth and opportunity for every person in the hemisphere,” Mrs Clinton said.

Here’s my favorite: There are two Hillarys — one with public positions, and one with private positions that takes huge checks from special interests that the “public” Hillary blasts. Nudge nudge:

“If everybody’s watching, you know, all of the backroom discussions and the deals, you know, then people get a little nervous, to say the least. So you need both a public and a private position,” Mrs. Clinton said in an April 2013 address. “You just have to sort of figure out how to — getting back to that word, ‘balance’ – how to balance the public and the private efforts that are necessary to be successful, politically, and that’s not just a comment about today.”

Bernie Sanders had demanded that Clinton release her Wall Street speech transcripts but now isn’t very interested. Shocker.

Speaking of leaks that concern presidential candidates, also consider this an open thread to talk about the Trump recording from 2005, but we can also get to that more in tomorrow’s open thread.
