Obama warns terrorist enemies of America: Sure, I’d trade more prisoners

On Friday, President Obama put enemies of the United States on notice when he essentially told them, “If you dare take any of our people hostage, we will find you, and we will return some of your cohorts if that’s what you want.”
Intimidating rhetoric from POTUS:

On criticism of the deal, the president pointed out that the war in Afghanistan is ending, and that, by definition, “you don’t do prisoner exchanges with your friends, you do ’em with your enemies.”
“It’s also important for us to recognize that the transition process of ending a war is gonna involve, on occasion, releasing folks who we may not trust but we can’t convict,” Obama said.
He concluded: “This is something that I would do again, and I will continue to do wherever I have an opportunity, if I have a member of our military who’s in captivity. We’re gonna try to get ’em out.”

Gitmo may be empty by the time Obama leaves office.
But on the upside, one of the Taliban leaders Obama released from Gitmo has vowed to turn over a new leaf and live a peaceful life as an insurance salesman in Qatar:

“Fight Americans again” is Pashto for “the good hands people,” right? Don’t worry, everything’s cool.
