Nancy Pelosi’s often calling on Republicans to work with Democrats, and her wish has come true:
In a post on their site, the National Republican Congressional Committee endorsed Mrs. Pelosi as minority leader, saying she was invaluable in putting the chamber in Republican hands.
“The NRCC would like to offer its full support to the embattled former Speaker of the House,” the House Republicans’ campaign arm wrote.
“Under Nancy Pelosi’s leadership, House Democrats squandered their majority by forcing through unpopular legislation like Obamacare,” the NRCC continued. “After her party’s devastating 63 seat loss in the ensuing 2010 election, Pelosi miraculously maintained her spot as Democratic leader, which, predictably, led to the largest Republican majority since the 1920s.”
Pelosi has a challenger for the post of House Minority Leader, and hopefully she was told she’d have to open this particular endorsement to find out what was in it.
