Congress shmongress! Obama steps off jumbo jet in China, signs Paris Agreement to limit emissions (open thread)
Well, Obama just used his pen & phone to save the planet via the Paris Agreement, so the water should start to recede soon.
Can somebody please ask wealthy liberals who push this kind of climate change alarmism why they continue to invest millions in coastal real estate? If they actually believed these doomsday predictions you’d be able to pick up an East Hampton Village beach rental for about a hundred bucks a month, but instead, coastal regions remain the

It’s Labor Day weekend already –where’d the summer go? Here’s an open thread for talk about anything on your mind while that question is pondered. A few starters…

What’s wrong with this picture: Communist China got parliamentary approval before the Paris Agreement was signed by that country’s president. Meanwhile, the President of the Constitutional Republic of the United States bypassed Congress, signed unilaterally, and the White House now considers the Paris Agreement “ratified” by the U.S.
Of course, Obama would have sought congressional approval if it were a “rubber stamp” body like China’s parliament, but it isn’t, so he just goes around it (and will apparently continue to be allowed to do so).

Obama’s G20 stop in China got off to a rocky start:
A Chinese official confronted U.S. President Barack Obama’s national security adviser on the tarmac on Saturday prompting the Secret Service to intervene, an unusual altercation as China implements strict controls ahead of a big summit.
The stakes are high for China to pull off a trouble-free G20 summit of the world’s top economies, its highest profile event of the year, as it looks to cement its global standing and avoid acrimony over a long list of tensions with Washington.
Shortly after Obama’s plane landed in the eastern city of Hangzhou, a Chinese official attempted to prevent his national security adviser Susan Rice from walking to the motorcade as she crossed a media rope line, speaking angrily to her before a Secret Service agent stepped between the two.
[…]
The same official shouted at a White House press aide who was instructing foreign reporters on where to stand as they recorded Obama disembarking from the plane.
“This is our country. This is our airport,” the official said in English, pointing and speaking angrily with the aide.
The very definition of irony was seeing people from the Obama White House arguing to get the media greater access.
Somebody in China’s about to get a job offer from the Hillary campaign!

CNN’s Brooke Baldwin seemed incredulous when a Trump adviser said that Hillary’s people destroyed BlackBerrys (aka “evidence”) with a hammer, so she went to somebody else hoping to shoot down the claim. Fact check backfire ensued:
Normally what essentially amounts to destroying evidence would cause major eyebrow raising among the law enforcement community, but as usual Hillary plays by a different set of rules.

Believe it or not, the FBI allowed Hillary’s top aide Cheryl Mills to be present during her questioning. Is it standard operating procedure for law enforcement officials to allow a suspect’s henchmen to be in the room while they’re being grilled?

Can somebody please ask wealthy liberals who push this kind of climate change alarmism why they continue to invest millions in coastal real estate? If they actually believed these doomsday predictions you’d be able to pick up an East Hampton Village beach rental for about a hundred bucks a month, but instead, coastal regions remain the location of choice for the wealthy, including rich progs who push Al Gore’s BS while obviously not believing it themselves.
